The ALS March of Faces Banner has become a highly recognized and widely used tool for raising public awareness of ALS. Its visual effect brings home the human element that all families living with ALS must bear. The impact of giving a face to this devastating disease has helped to highlight the dire need for funding in hundreds of fundraising and awareness events.

Our Community Member category now makes it possible for your ALS organization to utilize this tool for your community focus. This category includes a "community" ALS March of Faces Banner for your organization's use such as support groups, benefits, fundraisers, media coverage and your other ALS-related programs. This special ALS March of Faces Banner will be of your organization's PALS and loved ones and include your organization's name. The Community Member Banner is specially sized for your convenience and expeditious manufacturing.

Membership DOES have its privileges. Along with your organization's customized March of Faces Banner, your organization will be able to take advantage of special discounts and the internet broadcasting capabilities of the ALS March of Faces.

For an initiation fee of $250, plus printing cost of your community Banner, a Community Member will also enjoy:

ALS Awareness Ribbons - We will include 200 FREE navy pinstripe precut ribbons with your initial membership and you will get a special Community Member 50% discount on additional ribbons. Community Member's discounted ribbons will consist of precut ribbons and pins only. You are welcome to distribute them however your organization sees fit. (25 cents each with minimum order of 100)

ALS Awareness Lapel Pins - We will include 5 FREE lapel pins in 1" and 1.5" sizes with your initial membership. These popular and durable metal die-cast ALS Awareness Ribbon-replica lapel pins will also be available to you as a Community Member at a 50% discount. ($2.50 each with minimum order of 10)

"Brick by Brick", The ALS March of Faces Monthly Online Newsletter will include your organization's upcoming events, taking advantage of the ALS March of Faces regular internet broadcasting on email notices, ALS-related bulletin boards, websites and publications.

ALS March of Faces Home Page - Community Members will be listed on the ALS March of Faces Home Page with links to your organization's website.

Requirements, Specifications and Application:

 

The Community Member:

  • The Community Member organization must be a publicly supported non-profit organization or institution under IRS code with an ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, related focus.
  • The Community Member organization must have no less then 20 individual photos of PALS (People with ALS) for initial membership and customized Banner.
  • The Community Member organization must provide photo submission and permission waivers for both their customized Banner and the global ALS March of Faces Banner. Sample waivers are provided.
  • The Community Member organization concedes all copyrights of their customized Banner to the ALS March of Faces, and understands that use of their customized Banner is conditional upon current membership status.
  • The Community Member organization understands that storage and maintenance of their customized Banner is their responsibility.
  • The Community Member organization agrees that usage of their customized Banner will be kept strictly for ALS-related programs and events associated with their organization or the ALS March of Faces.

The ALS March of Faces:

  • The ALS March of Faces will provide at least one 6 foot by 2 foot vinyl banner with 20 photographs of the Community Member's PALS imprinted, varnished, hemmed and grommeted for a printing cost of $175 or 2 for $300 (subject to change) and the organization's name.
  • The ALS March of Faces will maintain a database of the organization's photo submissions and vital information provided. It will also make that information available upon request at no extra charge.
  • The ALS March of Faces will provide all graphic work including photo scanning, touch-up, cropping and formatting. The ALS March of Faces will return any photos that include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
  • The ALS March of Faces will make every effort to turn around banner and PALS section printing requests in a timely fashion.
